Saving barn beams

Barns are delicate old relics of the past. There were(are) many ranches throughtout the U.S. that have barns on them.

As the founders and children of the founders pass away, a whole new group of people take them over and find many treasures that are worth saving.

Mainly the barns, and all the stuff in them.

What stuff? Well many time there are areas in the barns that contain old memories, boxes full of photographs, letters, and other documents that are very revealing about their parentīs past.

Of course, the main item is the barn itself. For instance the beams, the main part of the building, is generally some sort of precious wood.

These must be saved. If the barn is going to be torn down, the beams can be saved a used for something else.

They are valuable!

You need a big lot to have a barn. Ideally, it should be beside your home so you can visit and have it cleaned regularly. Those who have barns also have lots of farm animals, which means you need acres to be able to do that. It can be rewarding to be able to take care of lots of animals. You can get milk from your cows and learn how to do horseback riding.
