Thank author of this post/commentThis house was built in 1986 on top of a hill from mostly recycled materials- barn beams & steel & 3 cedar corn silos. There are 25 cubic meters of concrete on the 3 roofs with continuous layer of insulation on exterior of concrete structure & under radiant hollow floors. 3500 sq. ft of floor space. With 8"-18" of earth on the 3 roofs it is warm & cosy in the winter & cool & dry in the summer. I believe it is one of the most energy efficient houses in Canada

Wow! this is nice. It is an energy efficient house. The whole structure amazes me. I think that this kind of structures should be preserved. They are very nice and unique.

I am so impressed with the appearance of this house on the video. Most furniture is also made of wood and they really look magnificent. Actually I really like the style of the house, and i think it is really nice being built in the rural area because the place is cooler.

The ground is so wide and I think the owner has still a lot of things to do in there.

I agree with you Marynor. It seems that the owner had really planned on styling this house. It is well furnished and arranged. The furniture were so pleasing in the eye that it really caught my attention. The place seems so comfortable and the owner can still make use of the spaces around the house. It is so wide. I hope to see the house personally.

Have a great day.

Simple acts like this would really be a big help in lessening the effect of global warming to people like me. I am an advocate of the organizations that are willing to be that knowledgeable in that area. I hope I can have that same practice as well. I hope it will be possible in soon time. I would love to know much about that area as soon as possible.

This is a great idea. It is great to be able to recycle old wood and building material and use it to make something that looks better than the original structures ever did. I think the reason that more building companies don't recycle old material that is still in good condition is because it takes a lot more time and skill to do that and not many companies have that kind of skill.
