Opening Up a Mini Pasture (Part 1)

Thank author of this post/commentAccess to the old barn here was blocked off by fencing so we opened up the area and the barn to our cows and donkey. As a bonus, this ended up providing them with shelter and more pasture. We found a few interesting things in the barn and a neat eco-system of thousands of grasshoppers and giant garden spiders in the mini-pasture.

The The Barn Spider is nocturnal, so be careful you guys if you are wandering into an old barn at night!!

There are a lot of things we can make use of from the old material in the old barn. Those old materials can still be used to make furniture and other stuff.

But, yes, you really have to be careful in some animals in the old barn because they might hurt you like those spiders in there.

Thanks for sharing the post. I am also trying to check some useful woods from my old barn.

What seems to be a not so useful old barns could actually be something more than how they looked like. There are lots of good uses from those old woods from the barn. In my grandpas old house, there was this seemingly old looking bench. Lots of people would always notice and compliment that piece of furniture. Later did we knew that the bench were made from all woods from a barn nearby the neighborhood.

Old barns or large outbuilding on a farm used to store grain or shelter livestock has lots of purposes. There are also many interesting and useful items that can be seen inside an old barn. Although some of them look old but I am sure that it is of good quality and very durable. It is not about how old they look but it is how you can be resourceful enough to make it new.

I wanna own a barn for my self. I really am a horse kid and I know that having this thing would really help me in my plans in having a ranch in Texas. I will be needing some info regarding that manner. I want to know the things that would really make me feel comfortable on the areas that I will be engaging on the plans I will be having.
