Value of an old barn

An old barn can have lots of material and sentimental value. They are the components of the scenery of old farms, some maybe a hundred years old. They were the depositaries of farm animals that could not be left out in the miseries of the cold and snow but had to be sheltered. The structures were made with good old timber that can be saved if the place is demolished, presumably to build a larger and better one. All of this can and should be salvaged, but the ideal is to let it stand and get some value out of it. If it is near a higway it can be transformed into a restaurant with a farmland flavor to it...such as a grull or steak house.
