YouTube: Shedding Light - Tobacco Barns
| YouTube: Shedding Light Shedding Light is a public art installation work inspired by the tobacco sheds of The Connecticut River Valley. Artist and architect Erika Zekos lit up a tobacco barn during the winter months of 2009 to highlight these vanishing agricultural buildings and to acknowledge Amherst's farming heritage as part of the town's 250th Anniversary celebrations. The idea attracted much attention from the public, artists, and many photographers who visited the "architectural lantern." This video was shot and edited by Catherine Stryker and co-produced by ACTV, Amherst Community Television. |
