Thank author of this post/commentThe process and uses of recycled plastic lumber, helping to keep millions of pounds of plastic out of landfills each year. Greening our earth one project at a time. Anything you can do with wood, you can do better with recycled plastic lumber. Build a deck, dock, arbor, pergola, gazebo, retaining wall, sign, raised garden bed, pier, piling, fence, etc. today. And the 50 year warranty means it's going to last!

I have to agree with you June. I also have an old barn in my province and I always make sure that I am able to maintain its use and cleanliness. This barn of mine is has a big significance in my life because it is where I spent most of my childhood memories. This barn also has a Barnwood where I use to play with my childhood friends. It has a lot of purpose in my life.

If you are creative enough and you love nature, you can really do a lot of things with the used lumber and woods in the barn. You may try to make wooden furniture as well as outdoor products. If you make it good, it is more durable than any other things you have at home. In that way, you have not wasted any woods that can still be used.

This is a pretty good idea, only I do not see it really catching on as, for one, plastic is way less durable than other types of building products, it is less eye pleasing. As far as for structures that people live in, it doesn't have much natural insulation, which will cause problems with mold, heat and cold in the extremes of the climate, and also plastic, once scratched, stays that way and accumulates dirt.

This is indeed one way of reusing plastics and try hard to get them away from landfills and wait for thousand and even millions of years for them to decompose, that is if they are to decompose.

And with recycling plastic into something like those, then we are to make use of those plastic wastes and turn them into something more useful.

Just hoping that much more initiatives of these likes continue.
