Considering the fact that many a time, barn wood is simply an absolutely strong thing which can tend to last very long as well, I can easily think of many a reason for one to salvage these old pieces of wood. Simply because of its stability is why I would use old barn wood to simply build a new barn, or otherwise. You cannot even trust new wood today, my point is, whenever you stumble upon a strong piece of old wood, don't hesitate to use it; it's still around for a good reason.
