Answers: How long are your horse's turned out?

Thank author of this post/commentI recently got a new training job at a bigger show barn that only turns out one hour a day for a select few horses. My old barn did either overnight or all day turn out. I am taking my two horse's with me since I will be getting hugely discounted board, and I'm not sure how I'm going to work this out for them, they are used to about 12 hours turnout then 12 hours stall. I can let them out myself occasionally if I'm there, but they won't be getting more than maybe 3-4 hours a day. Do you think that's going to affect them?

I want to own a horse in my own. I have been dreaming of having and caring for it. I was inform by my friend that he will gave me some of her horses and I was shock to that. She wants to sell her barn and I am quite interested in that place. I hope I can have a friendly cost in my place. I would really love to have that as soon as possible.

My father turned over the responsibility to look after the old barn which is owned by our family. I want to make some renovations and make use of the old material like woods in the old barn. I am looking for good information about some furniture that I may make by using the old woods in the barn.

Actually, I have tried making chairs and cabinets. But there are still small parts that I want to make use of.

Old barns are usually used for storage purposes in rural areas. It is where you keep most of the things that you no longer used. But in most cases a barn is a large farm outbuilding use to store grain and shelter livestock. This is very functional to people living in the farm. We have a barn in our province and I always see to it that I am able to maintain its condition.

There really are lots of good used from those woods from old barns. My grandpa had this old barn and when the family decided to bring it down, he managed to make some good furniture out from what seems to be old logs.

It is good that we do make use of the woods from old barns for they are really good. Especially if you are after for some good furniture.

I believe that Tommy's question, "How long are your horses turned out" is going to need an answer for a long, long time, as so far all the comments have been about how nice old barns are. Do we all really know so very little about horses? In the old days every Tom, Dick, and Harry would have had something wise to say about this topic, but now... nothing?
